HOMO LUDENS

Composition and execution of the music for the multimedia performance of Richard Siegal

performed in Germany : Hamburg, Munich, Weimar…

‘Homo Ludens’, the multimedia dance performance of the artists’ group The Bakery, is based on the ‘IF/THEN-Method’ developed by Richard Siegal, in which the parameters of the stage, i.e. space, time and interaction, are redefined in a playful way to form a new system of order. ‘If/Then: if A, then B’ – out of this formal-logical communication system, Richard Siegal develops a lively and fascinating dialogue between the actors – from gesture to dance all the way to music.
