English

The music by Lorenzo Bianchi and the Smolyn brothers – trombonists and experts of “instrument research” – is based on relationships that are spontaneous but stratified and complex.
The starting point is a system in which the three instrumentalists act as autonomous elements, capable of taking responsibility for the performance in a personal and solitary way.
Then possible interactions are constructed on notated formal instructions and improvised moments, combined inside a system in which truly everything is permitted.
Together, the musicians construct a sonic space through a dialogue following hierarchies and distinct relationships using electronics to capture and elaborate these external elements. The electronics define the key elements of the performance in a clear and precise manner.
This system of relationships, similarly to a collection of gestures, is the basis of the performance. The elements from which the performance is made of (sounds, cries, mouvements, whisperings) depend on details, which therefore become sophisticated, important and meticulous.
